Jay Ash is the Vice President of Income Property Lending at Wilshire Finance Partners. His experience spans most investment real estate types over the past twenty-years within the realm of investment banking, debt and equity origination, asset management, portfolio management, brokerage, third-party bank consulting, and the public sector. Mr. Ash has originated over $400MM in debt and equity, managed a portfolio in excess of $30B in distressed commercial assets, and interacted with financial sources applicable to all levels of the capital-stack.
Founded in 2008, Wilshire Finance Partners is a portfolio lender specializing in small balance bridge loans from $1,000,000 to $7,000,000 secured by multi-family and commercial real estate in the United States. Through its management of the WFP Income Fund and WFP Opportunity Fund, Wilshire’s internal funding platform delivers fast, efficient and flexible bridge loan solutions with a high level of customer service.
Mr. Ash received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business from the University of Kansas, focusing specifically on finance. That education positioned him for the dynamic real estate finance career he has enjoyed over the past twenty years. In addition to his experience originating and placing debt and equity throughout the capital stack, he has extensive underwriting experience on complex deals, conducted asset-level due diligence, created complicated equity structures and financial models, packaged presentations, negotiated leases and supported or lead large teams.
